ShortCuts: A Plant and Story Swap
Curated by Annie Brockenhuus-Schack
Sunday 31 October
1:30 – 2:30pm

This event is inspired by the connections made between migrant community members through their gardens and plants. We’re interested in what it is about plants that’s so connective in communities whose experiences are viewed through the lens of Otherness and marginalisation.

The life of a plant is one of constant, sensitive response to its environment –– a process of growth and nourishment played out at speeds varied from our own. ‘ShortCuts’ features new writing and a chat about the connective and communal life of plants and their humans. Bring a plant you’d like to share a story about and a pen and paper to write it on!
