ShortCuts was inspired by the connections made between migrant community members through their gardens and plants. We’re interested in what it is about plants that’s so connective in communities whose experiences are viewed through the lens of Otherness and marginalisation.
The life of a plant is one of constant, sensitive response to its environment –– a process of growth and nourishment played out at speeds varied from our own. ‘ShortCuts’ features new writing about the connective and communal life of plants and their humans.
Boundless curator, Annie Brockenhuus-Schack, generously created a digital zine full of writing from the ShortCuts: A Plant and Story Swap panellists. Download it here.
